Bigge Reaches 500 Career Kills as Flying Eagles Sweep Alice Lloyd

Pippa Passes, Ky. — Southwest Virginia Community College volleyball earned a dominant straight-set victory over Alice Lloyd College on Tuesday evening, winning 25-23, 25-11, 25-8.
Sophomore standout Patricia Bigge headlined the performance with 13 kills on an impressive .632 hitting percentage, surpassing the 500-career-kill milestone — a major achievement in her Flying Eagles career.
Freshman Brooklyn Langston was also effective at the net with 9 kills and a .529 efficiency, while Evie Buffington contributed 5 kills, 5 service aces, and a team-high 16 digs. Setter Lucy Reid fueled the offense with 26 assists and 2 aces as Southwest Virginia hit .400 in the final set to secure the sweep.
The Flying Eagles finished with 39 kills, 9 service aces, and 52 digs, while holding Alice Lloyd without a single kill.
Southwest Virginia returns home on Saturday, October 25, to host Davidson-Davie Community College. First serve is set for 11:00 a.m.
