Cedar Bluff, Va. — Southwest Virginia Community College volleyball standouts Patricia Bigge and Destanie Ambers have been named to the NJCAA Region 10 Second Team, recognizing their outstanding performances during the 2025 season.
Bigge, a sophomore outside hitter, surpassed the 500-career-kill milestone earlier this season and finished second on the team with 269 kills. She also led SWCC in hitting percentage (.285) and blocks per set (0.56), serving as a consistent and efficient force at the net for the Flying Eagles throughout the year.
Ambers, also a sophomore outside hitter, paced the Flying Eagles with 349 kills and 3.32 kills per set, while adding 373 digs—second-most on the team—and a .223 hitting percentage. The honor marks her second consecutive All-Region selection, after earning First Team recognition as a freshman in 2024.
The duo's achievements highlight the continued growth of the Southwest Virginia volleyball program, which continues to build its competitive presence within Region 10 play.
