Featured female athlete of the month, Paige Niethammer

Paige, a freshman forward from Cocke County, is the featured female athlete for the month of January. Paige has had huge success in her first season with the Flying Eagles, averaging 19.1 ppg off a 50.2% field goal percentage. She is also averaging 12 rebounds per game. This past weekend, in the first game of the 2024 portion of the season, Paige had an incredible performance. Scoring 30 points and grabbing 19 rebounds. Don’t be fooled by her rebounds and paint points; she is shooting 31.4% from 3-point range, shooting 11-35 this season. When asked about his freshman stars game, Coach Lambert had this to say: "Paige is adjusting nicely to the college atmosphere of play; we have felt all along that Paige has the capability to be an all-conference player in our league, and we are expecting a very strong finish from her down the stretch.”
