Flying Eagles Set Program Record, Finish Runner-Up at NETC Intercollegiate

Cedar Bluff, VA. — The Southwest Virginia Community College golf team turned in a historic performance Monday, finishing runner-up at the NETC Intercollegiate at White Plains Country Club. The Flying Eagles posted a program-record team score of 305 to secure second place in the event.
Freshman Cooper Terry paced the squad with an impressive round of 74, tying for third individually. Sophomore Jack Ford followed closely, firing a 75 to claim seventh place overall. Mason Croley added a steady 77 to finish tied for 11th, while Carter Wynne contributed a 79 and Conner Johnson rounded out the scoring with an 80.
The 305 team total stands as the lowest single-round score in program history, marking a major milestone as the Flying Eagles continue to establish themselves against strong competition.
What's Next
Southwest Virginia returns to action October 20–21 at the Atomic City Classic, where the Flying Eagles will look to build on their record-setting momentum.
