Flying Eagles Battle But Fall 101–91 to Louisburg

Cedar Bluff, VA- Southwest Virginia put four players in double figures and got a combined 56 points from David Frazier and Deonta Mozell, but the Flying Eagles couldn't slow down a hot-shooting Louisburg College squad in a 101–91 setback Tuesday afternoon at the King Community Center.
Louisburg shot 49% from the floor and converted 25 free throws to maintain control despite several second-half pushes from the home side. The Hurricanes were led by Isaiah Smith's 25 points, nine rebounds, and six assists, while Kristian Hodges added a 19-point, 15-rebound double-double off the bench.
SWCC was paced by freshman standout David Frazier, who delivered another explosive outing with 31 points, eight rebounds, and four steals while going 12-of-15 at the free-throw line. Deonta Mozell added 25 points on 10-of-17 shooting, including four three-pointers, as the duo kept the Flying Eagles within striking distance throughout the afternoon.
Off the bench, Mike Corley Jr. chipped in 12 points, while Jack Ford knocked down two threes for six points. Brice Wallace added six points and five rebounds, and Emonte Lee pulled down five boards in 26 minutes of action. SWCC shot 43% from the field and connected on nine triples, but Louisburg's rebounding edge and efficiency proved decisive.
Despite trailing 51–42 at halftime, the Flying Eagles trimmed the margin multiple times in the second half, but each run was answered by timely baskets from the Hurricanes.
