Flying Eagles Fall to Bryant & Stratton on Sunday Afternoon

CEDAR BLUFF, VA.- Southwest Virginia Community College dropped an 84–50 decision to Bryant & Stratton College (VA) on Sunday afternoon at the King Community Center.
The Flying Eagles trailed 30–19 at the break before the visitors used a 54-31 second half to pull away. Southwest Virginia struggled to find an offensive rhythm, shooting 25.7 percent from the field and 22.9 percent from three-point range in the contest.
David Frazier led the Flying Eagles with a team-high 18 points while adding seven rebounds. Deonta Mozell finished with nine points and four assists, while Emonte Lee contributed six points, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots.
Southwest Virginia totaled 32 rebounds as a team, led by Lee and Frazier, but Bryant & Stratton held a decisive edge on the glass, outrebounding the Flying Eagles 52–32. The visitors also forced 22 Southwest Virginia turnovers, turning them into key second-half opportunities.
Bryant & Stratton was paced by Mikel Chappell, who scored a game-high 18 points off the bench, and Elijah Mendoza, who recorded a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds.
