Cedar Bluff, VA- The Southwest Virginia Community College (SWCC) Men’s Basketball team (3-8, 1-7) faced a tough challenge on the road against Davidson-Davie Community College (17-1, 9-0), the No. 3 ranked team in NJCAA Division II. Despite a strong effort led by sophomore guard Kahlil Peoples, who poured in 23 points, the Flying Eagles were overpowered by the Storm’s balanced attack, falling 108-76.

However, their shooting touch faltered in the second half, where they connected on just 30% of their attempts. Freshman Adrian Hunter added a solid performance, tallying 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting and grabbing six rebounds. Meanwhile, sophomore Corean Nelson saw his streak of consecutive 20-point games come to an end, finishing with 17 points, four rebounds, and seven turnovers as he struggled against Davidson-Davie’s defensive pressure.
The Storm showcased their depth and dominance throughout the game, with six players scoring in double figures. Lamonte Cousar matched SWCC’s Peoples with a game-high 23 points.
