Baseball Earns ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

CEDAR BLUFF, Va. – The Southwest Virginia Community College Baseball team has been recognized by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) with the prestigious 2024-25 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack.

This honor is awarded to high school and collegiate baseball programs nationwide that post a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or higher during the academic year. The Flying Eagles earned their place on the list with a 3.10 team GPA, showcasing their commitment to academic excellence.

The ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award recognizes programs from every level of the game, with nearly 750 teams across the country earning the distinction this year. SWCC joins more than 440 college programs in being honored for their achievements in the classroom.
