Flying Eagles win both games against Combine Academy
The Flying Eagles picked victories in both games of the doubleheader on the road against Combine Academy. Mason Barnett took the mound in game one and secured the victory for Southwest who won by a score of four to zero. Mason and Alexis Dubeau combined for the first shutout in Southwest Virginia Community College history.
In game two, AJ Fisher picked up the victory for the Flying Eagles as Southwest held off Combine Academy to secure a three to two victory. Hunter Anderson came into the game and slammed the door on Combine to pick up the save for the Flying Eagles.
Southwest now moves to 2-4 on the season and are scheduled to play Combine again on Thursday February 16th at home (in Tazewell) for another two game series. On Saturday, February 18th and Sunday February 19th the Flying Eagles will welcome Lackawanna College for a three game home series.
